  1. I am a teacher–when will the skeptics get serious about practical educational advice? I see lots of cool things, but there is a very real difference between “oh wow!” and serious educational resources. I want and need things I can apply in the classroom. Not just content, but … are there particular pedagogical methods (that is, evidence-based teaching methods) which have been shown (we love evidence!) to be more effective in promoting skepticism?

  2. Hi Mark!

I just read an interview with Phil Plait, and he mentioned “The Critical Thinking Co.” at http://www.criticalthinking.com/index.jsp

    Have you heard of it?

And Kylie Sturgess’ blog has a veritable plethora of educational resources at http://podblack.com/?page_id=521

    Have fun!

  3. Hi Mark & Desiree,

In terms of education & critical thinking, another resource which you may find highly useful are the books written by well known skeptic, Lynne Kelly.

One book is called “The Skeptics Guide to the Paranormal” She is also an educator as well as an author, and runs a group that deals specifically with teaching critical thinking to students.

I’d recommend checking her web site out (www.lynekelly.com.au) – oh, and of course, she’s on 3 interviews on BM as well (-:
